  • Local artisan businesses invited to join the new Crafted in Tamworth marquee.
  • Community groups and charity stall holders invited to book a place

Tamworth Borough Council are calling for local artisan businesses and stall holders to join the annual town festival, We Love Tamworth, in September, for a two-day event in the stunning Castle Grounds.

The action-packed day of activities for the whole family is set to take place on Saturday 9 September and Sunday 10 September, and will bring with it a variety of entertainment for people of all ages to enjoy.

The event, which has been running since 2012, is hosted over both Saturday and Sunday and will include stalls, catering vendors, performances from various local artists, bands and groups; plus, Crafted in Tamworth marquee; which will display and showcase offerings from various Tamworth businesses and heritage craft demonstrations – just to mention a few.

For the first time, there will be a new Crafted in Tamworth marquee, and the council is calling for local artisan and craft businesses to join the event between 10.00am – 4.00pm, in the Castle Grounds.

The marquee will host a range of local businesses all invited to sell their products, food, art, crafts and raise awareness of their business to help highlight just how creative Tamworth is.

For more details on how to be part of the event please email: TARoutdoorevents@tamworth.gov.uk.

The weekend extravaganza would not be the same without local community and charity stalls. If you are interested in setting up a stall this year, please contact mkyte52@gmail.com. All proceeds from the stall fees will go to local and national good causes.

Councillor Andrew Cooper, Tamworth Borough Council’s Portfolio Holder for Entertainment and Leisure, said: “We’re excited to host We Love Tamworth for the 11th year. It has become a great day out and a firm favourite among people of all ages.

“Each year the event grows more popular with local residents and visitors to our town. This year’s event has all the much-loved features from previous years, as well as some special extras, such as our new Crafted in Tamworth marquee.

“I hope that many local artisan businesses will take this opportunity to share what amazing products they have to offer and sign up for a stall so we can share the great art and crafts that Tamworth has to offer.”
