Tamworth Voices, originally founded in 2012, has now joined forces with the D-Day Darlings, to create a choir that will bring together a vibrant community of people who share a love of singing with a passion, for remembrance and honouring our armed forces, past and present.

The choir will sing songs from all musical genres from Gospel, Rock, Pop, Classical and Contemporary, with all abilities welcomed and no previous singing experience necessary. Rehearsal will take place every Tuesday at Tamworth Assembly Rooms.

Katie Ashby from the D-Day Darlings said: “We are excited to launch the new Tamworth Voices Choir and can’t wait to welcome people to the free taster session at the Tamworth Assembly Rooms on Tuesday 10 October, from 7pm – 9pm.

“We’re delighted that our Musical Director and Choirmaster Gladstone Wilson, of Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, is on board boasting a career across many fields of the music industry and has produced musical arrangements for ITV’s X-Factor, supported well-known artistes such as Bobby Womack, Tracey Chapman and Eternal.

“The choir will have opportunities to record and perform alongside The D-Day Darlings, as well as lots of other opportunities throughout the year.”
