The theatre will temporarily close its doors from Monday 3 August 2026 as it begins its annual maintenance shutdown, reopening to the public on Tuesday 18 August 2026.

The planned closure allows staff to carry out a comprehensive programme of deep cleaning, essential maintenance, and repairs throughout the building, helping to ensure the venue remains in excellent condition for audiences, performers, and visitors. As part of the maintenance schedule, the Claymore Lounge will also be closed for the duration of the shutdown.

There will be one exception to the closure, with the building opening at 6.30pm on Saturday 15 August 2026 to welcome audiences attending The South performance.
